THE KAPPA LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE - CHICAGO IS KNOWN FOR PRODUCING THE LARGEST NUMBER OF MINORITY MALES STUDENTS IN THE CITY OF CHICAGO NAMED AS NATIONAL MERIT SEMI-FINALIST AND OVER THE LAST FIVE YEARS, EVERY SENIOR HAS GAINED ADMISSION TO A "TIER 1" FOUR YEAR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY.
The Kappa Leadership institute - Chicago is currently ranked #1 nationally amongst 344 other Kappa Leadership Institutes in the nation.
Our results tell the true story of how successful our students are:
- 100% of our seniors since 2005 have graduated and were admitted into the "tier 1" college/university of their first choice
- 96% of our students rank in the top 15% of their high school class
- 83 % of our seniors scored a 28 or higher on the ACT Exam. (12 points higher than the national average for African American students and 7 points higher than the national average for all students.) www.act.org/activity/autumn2007/national.html
- 82% of our students made honor roll with a GPA of 3.431 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- 56% of our seniors received "Full tuition" scholarships to college
- 98% of our students are leaders and "student athletes" at their high school
