SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2009 FROM 8 AM. - 11 AM

(ALL APPLICANTS INTERVIEWING FOR ADMISSION MUST REGISTER FOR THE INTERVIEW PROCESS)
AND
(MUST REPORT TO THE INTERVIEW SITE AT 8AM)





Please read the information below for further details on how to register for the admission infromational presentation and about applying for admission.

The Kappa Leadership Institute - Chicago seeks high performing under-represented and/or disadvantaged young men of all nationalities who attend a high school within the Chicago area, show superior academic potential, and desire a high powered "Leadership" and "Mentoring" program that is challenging and extremely rewarding.  Our rigorous leadership and academic development process challenges each student to commit to excellence and raise his personal expectations of himself.

Each student admitted into the Kappa Leadership Institute - Chicago goes through a very selective admission process which includes submitting an admission application, writing several essays, submitting letters of recommendations from members of the community, and participating in a (3) hour panel interview.

Minimum qualifications to be considered for admission are:

  • Must be a male student in grade 9th, 10th, or 11th.
  • Must have at least a 3.0 unweighted grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must submit a Kappa League admission application.
  • Must participate in the Kappa League admission interview process.
  • Must be willing to attend bi-monthly meetings and tutoring sessions.


All young men in the 9th - 11th grade interested in applying for admission into the Kappa Leadership Institute should register to attend our next "Informational Presentation." The informational presentation provides both the student and his parent/guardian an excellent opprotunity to find out more about the Kappa Leadership Institute - Chicago, meet current students in the program and their parents, as well get answers to specific questions they may have about the program.

Once a student has decided that he wishes to apply for admission to the Kappa Leadership Institute - Chicago, he must then register for an "Admission Interview" and also download and complete the Admission Application.

Our next "Admission Interview Process" will take place on Saturday, October 3rd. Interviews will start promptly at 8:00 AM and all young men wishing to interview must be present at 8:00 AM.  The entire interview process takes 3-hours, therefore, all young men interviewing must be prepared to stay until  11:00 AM.  Upon completing the admission interview registration process a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided sharing the address location of where the interviews will be held.

Our "Informational Presentation" will be held on Saturday, September 12th from 3 PM - 5 PM. If you wish to attend the presentation please complete the registration process by selecting the "Information Presentation" registration link.


IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION, PLEASE COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING 2 STEPS:

  • 1: Register for an admssion interview by clicking on the "Register for Kappa League Interview" link.

THEN

  • 2: Download and complete the admission application and bring the completed application and requested supporting documents with you to the interview.
